Martínez Lacuesta Wineries

Martínez Lacuesta was officially established on February 1, 1895. The entrepreneurial and commercial spirit of Eloy Martínez and the pioneering and restless character of his son Félix Martínez Lacuesta converge.

The entire winery is designed to maintain those techniques that give uniqueness to our production and accommodate new needs at the same time. Manual racking required a gravity cellar; Our way of stacking the barrels 5 levels high made it necessary to have a spectacular aging room; Our most significant vintages had to be kept in a bottle rack at their height... And our origin, our path and our evolution had to be shown to the visitor in a small museum that collected our history.

No more than 20 kilometers around, owned or in the hands of traditional Rioja families, attached to their land and their identity, the vineyards with which we at Martínez Lacuesta make our wines are a heritage of all. Of a culture, of a landscape, of Haro, of Rioja. From an origin.

We have made wine in three different centuries. That is why we represent tradition and everything that nature offers us. We maintain those traditional techniques that we see continue to add value to our wines both in the vineyard and in the winery production process. All of them are guided by natural processes that limit our impact on nature, providing sustainability and preserving the environment.
