Raul Perez Wineries and Vineyards

Vineyards, brands, types of wine..., all of them are changing data depending on the nature and creativity of their creator, the winemaker and winemaker Raúl Pérez. Luis Gutiérrez, Robert Parker's right-hand man in Spain, says of him that "Raúl is a free spirit, he does and undoes, he goes from here to there, he never stops inventing, scheming, testing, changing and changing again...". And so it is! In the winery they work with their own vineyards or with grapes acquired from others. Whites and reds are produced, with native varieties, with production being very limited depending on the amount of grapes collected. The wines of Raúl Pérez Bodegas y Viñedos are not only produced in Bierzo, where the winery is located; They are also made in León, Rías Baixas, Ribeira Sacra and Monterrei.

The winery, of course, follows the foundations of its creator like traditional work; the little influence on the vineyard, understanding the terrain, each climate, and respecting the ripening times of each variety; the search for wines that last over time, drinkable from the first moment and after 20 years in the bottle, and the predilection for native and endangered grapes.
